The Board of Directors

Kristy holds college degrees in Education and Theatre and has extensive experience in both areas. She has taught in several elementary classrooms and held the position of Youth Theatre Director for many years at the SCCT. She has directed, designed sets, costumed, and acted in many productions in college, public schools, community theatres, and independent theatres.

CHRISTINE WOLF - Vice-President
Christine is mother to three children, one dog and one cat. She lives in Sioux City and works in South Sioux City. She has directed many productions in high school, church and community theatre. In her free time, she likes to paint.

TIM HESS - Secretary

Tim grew roots in Siouxland after getting involved at the Sioux City Community Theatre (SCCT) in 2004, following an award-winning 20 year career in television. Since then, he has appeared on stage in more than 50 shows around Siouxland and has directed nearly 40. He served as SCCT Artistic Director in 2006-2007, and has been the Drama Director at Sioux City North High School since 2010.


Tonya is a graduate of South Dakota State University with an emphasis in Secondary Education for the pure sciences. She now works as a corporate trainer and recruiter with Building Blocks Foster Care. She is a 2017/2018 graduate of Leadership Dakota County, 2019/2020 SSC Morning Optimist Club President and Co-chair of the REACT against sex trafficking group in Dakota County. She has 3 grown children and 6 grandchildren.

Erica teaches Reading at Lewis & Clark Elementary and is in her 19th year in the South Sioux City School District. She and her husband Jason have lived in South Sioux City since 1991. She credits her daughter's love of the Arts for her support of Theatre.



Cyndi is the owner.manager of NMC Properties. She has an extensive background in bookkeeping and accounting and has served as treasurer for several organizations. She is a former member of the Board for Lamb Arts Regional Theatre. She also assisted with costuming and props at North High where her daughters Emily, Anna and Isabel attended.

JEN HANNA - Director
Jen is a visual arts teacher at SSC Schools and has been teaching art in the Siouxland area for 17 years. She and her husband, Dan, have 3 children, 2 of which have been involved with New Stage Players. Jen enjoys participating in behind-the-scenes aspects of theater and helps paint an occasional tombstone.

CHRISTY HENJES - DirectorChristy is retired now after working for 23 years in Special Education and the Library for the South Sioux City school district. She has two adult children and has been involved in local theatre since 1969.

Deb is retired after 36 years as a music educator in the South Sioux City School System. She has a background in talented and gifted education and theater education and has directed and music directed numerous productions in South Sioux City and Sioux City.

Shelly is currently the compliance officer/trainer at Century 21 ProLink in Sioux City where she lives with her husband, Adam and their two children. She is a Nebraska native and graduated from Wayne State College with a degree in Vocal/Instrumental music. Shelly has been the music director for several local productions over the last few years and looks forward to continuing to work with New Stage Players as they continue to grow.
